Performing an Ad Hoc Refill

 

 

 

 

To perform an ad hoc refill on an RxStation device, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Available Actions page, click Ad Hoc Refill on the touch screen. The Ad Hoc Refill page is displayed. The medications available for refill are displayed.

  1. From the Ad Hoc Refill page, click Brand or Generic to select the primary view for medications.

 

Both brand and generic names are displayed, however, when Brand is selected the brand name is the primary view and appears first and in larger, bolder type with the generic name beneath. When Generic is selected the generic name is the primary view and appears first with the brand name beneath.

 

 

 

  1. Click a letter of the alphabet on the touch screen to filter the list of applications by that letter.

  1. Click the medication to be refilled from the alphabetic list on the touch screen and click Begin.

  2. Use the plus  or minus  to adjust the quantity of the refill. You can also enter numbers in the Quantity box using the touch screen numeric keypad.

  3. Use the plus  or minus  to adjust the expiration date. You can also enter numbers in the Expiration Date box using the touch screen numeric keypad. After adjusting the Expiration Date, the Save option is available.

  1. Click Save. The appropriate draw opens and a message is displayed: Close compartment tray to continue.

  2. Refill the compartment with the quantity of the refill specified earlier, then close the compartment. You are returned to the Available Actions screen.

 

 

 

ALERT: You must click Log Out to complete the transaction.
